Welcome to The Menomonee Valley Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Milwaukee’s home of clock and watch collecting. We are Southeast Wisconsin’s local chapter of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC).
We hold meetings five times a year. Each meeting consists of two parts. The first is a mart, which is a swap meet devoted to clocks, watches, tools and other items of a horological nature. You never know what you might find at one of our marts, from a simple kitchen clock to a railroad grade pocket watch to a fine English bracket clock, a pair of pliers to a tool for balancing hairsprings, each mart has something unique to offer.
The second part is an educational lecture, which can be on a wide variety of subjects relating to horology. Past lectures have included topics such as Casting Lead Weights, Modern Wrist Watches, The English Watchmaking Industry, Cuckoo Clock Restoration, Sundials of Wisconsin, The South Bend Watch Company, Timepieces for the Turkish Market, Hairsprings, American Military Clocks of WWII, Building a Rolling Ball Clock, Brass Used in Time Keepers, The Allen Bradley Clock, How Swatch Saved the Swiss Watch Industry and many more.
